Hello to everyone.
I'm an amateur programmer-web developer from central greece.

I have debian lenny (greek locale) and i have seahorse 2.22.3.

In htop i see those processes running
chomwitt 4549 0.0 0.0 32448 1780 ? S 13:04 0:00
/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon -d --login
chomwitt 4662 0.0 0.0 2704 316 ? S 13:04 0:00
/usr/bin/dbus-launch --exit-with-session /usr/bin/seahorse-agent
--execute /usr/bin/gnome-session
chomwitt 4669 0.0 0.2 28204 4404 ? SLs 13:04 0:00
/usr/bin/seahorse-agent --execute /usr/bin/gnome-session
chomwitt 6005 0.0 0.0 23540 1932 ? S 13:35 0:00
/usr/bin/seahorse-daemon -d
chomwitt 6192 0.0 0.5 32552 11992 ? S 13:41 0:02 seahorse

If i am correct seahorse includes gpg-agent with a ssh-cache functionality.
So does this means that:
1) i can turn off gnome-keyring-deamon or it has some more functionality
needed by seahorse or other possible gnome-apps? (even thought i think
is impossible to uninstall gnome-keyring alone)
2) Since seahorse-deamon based on gpg-agent can i remove open-ssh agent ?

Sorry if this seems newbiew but in freenode i'd get any meanfull reply ,
trying many channels, and i feel that there is an issue of a messy
situation when there is , openssh, pgp, seahorse ,gnome-keyring ,
kde-wallet and is plausible to think that there are dependencies and
propable problems.

Also in the preferences tab there is only a pgp tab with the option to
save pgp keys. Shouldnt there be also a ssh tab with similar choices?

Thanks.

seahorse-agent implements the gpg-agent interface.

gnome-keyring-daemon is what network manager and other applications
save secrets to. I doubt you want to remove it. In newer versions,
gnome-keyring-daemon provides the ssh-agent functionality.

That makes no sense. gpg-agent and ssh-agent are two different daemons.

Nope.
